CoreLogic tracks public records of closed sales. For the 22 business days ending October 14, we see …

1. Median selling price for all residences was $705,000 — up 7.6 percent compared to a year ago, CoreLogic reported.

2. 3,529 residences sold in the period, rising 5.7 percent from a year ago.

3. Prices were up in 59 of 83 Orange County ZIP codes compared to the previous year.

4. Sales rose in 45 of the 83 ZIPs.

5. Resales of existing residences: 3,007 — up 2.9 percent from a year ago.

6. Builders sales of new units: 522 — up 25.5 percent from a year ago.

7. In the 27 least expensive ZIP codes — median price $620,000 and below — 882 homes sold. That’s down 4 percent vs. a year ago.

8. In the 27 priciest ZIPs — median $790,000 and higher — 1,209 homes sold. That’s up 12 percent vs. a year ago.

9. In the 11 ZIP codes with median above $1 million, sales totaled 299 homes, up 18.2 percent vs. a year ago.

10. Countywide, 4,878 listed and 2,409 homes to escrow in past 30 days.

12. By price slices, listings under $500,000: 730 listed vs. 602 escrows for a market time of 36 days.

13. From $500,000 to $750,000: 1,213 listed vs. 864 escrows for market time of 42 days.

14. From $750,000 to $999,999: 809 listed vs. 473 escrows for market time of 51 days.

15. $1 million-plus: 2,126 listed vs. 471 escrows for a market time of 135 days.
