Google Pixel and Pixel XL devices have had their prices slashed in the UK just a few months before the anticipated Pixel 2, Pixel XL 2 release date.
The next generation of the search giant’s pure Android phones is expected to launch in October, with improved specs and also a bigger price tag.
But ahead of the big launch, you can pick up the original Pixel and Pixel XL today at a great price.
On the Carphone Warehouse website, the Google Pixel SIM free version has had its price slashed by £120 – now costing £479.99.
Stock has been snapped up quickly so the original Pixel phone is only currently available in black and in the 32GB version.
However, if you want the Google Pixel XL then now could be the best time to buy it.
Carphone Warehouse is offering huge savings on all versions of the Pixel XL.
You can pick up the black or silver version of the £32GB model for £499.99 – a staggering saving of £220.
The 128GB version is also available in both silver and black colour schemes, and you can save £220 on those Pixel XL models too.
The Google Pixel XL 128GB SIM free version is priced on the Carphone Warehouse website at £599.99.
If you’re alternatively looking to get a contract, Carphone Warehouse offers the Pixel and Pixel XL 32GB models on price plans with no upfront cost.
The Pixel XL 128GB model is available on £49 per month 24 month contract from O2 on the Carphone Warehouse website.
This offers 20GB of 4G data, unlimited minutes and unlimited texts.
The news comes after Express.co.uk revealed the official Google store slashed the prices of the Pixel and Pixel XL for US customers.
Both the 32GB and 128GB version of the Google Pixel had their price slashed by $125, while the Google Pixel XL has been discounted by an incredible $200.
The news comes as Google gears up for the launch of the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL, which are expected to have a release date in October.
The original Pixel devices were unveiled in October and launched that month, and it’s expected that history will repeat itself this year.
Sources have told 9To5Google that the Pixel 2 price is expected to rise by at least $50, which would translate in the UK to around a £50 increase.
And it’s been rumoured that the Pixel 2 could be the first to feature the brand new Snapdragon 836 processor from Qualcomm.
It’s also expected that the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 will drop the 3.5mm headphone jack.
