Light Novel Publisher Announces ‘Square One,’ Other Books

Vic’s Lab, LLC, which is the first U.S. company to publish original English light novels, recently announced the release of Square One: Volume 1 by Mohamed Shafiek.

The company also announced pre-orders for the re-release of Sword Quest of Enigmatic Souls: Vol 1: Takanova by Alex Theriot and Alpha Squad Vecto: Vengeance + Voyage by Reid Kemper.

Square One was released Sept. 19, 2017, and is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Apple, Kobo, and other online retailers as an ebook for $9.99. It also can be found in print for $14.99. Shafiek wrote and illustrated the novel, and Vic’s Lab is serving as the distributor. The story contains comedy-drama and slice-of-life themes.

“After failing to become the mangaka Akari Ise has always dreamed of being, he is given one last chance to prove himself as a proposition to become a manga assistant arises. Sword Quest of Enigmatic Souls is available for pre-order for 99 cents as an ebook from Amazon and will be released Oct. 17. It was originally self-published but will be updated and re-released with Vic’s Lab as the distributor. It contains action, adventure, and fantasy. Alpha Squad-Vecto: Vengeance + Voyage is a compilation of Vecto: Vengeance and Vecto: Voyage. Vic’s Lab serves as the publisher.
