Mighty Tucks shine at State Gymnastics meet

Tasha Miller and Alexandria Lacroix earned all-state honors to lead a solid performance from the Idaho Falls Mighty Tucks gymnastics team at last weekend’s 2017 Idaho State Gymnastics Championships in Moscow.

Miller led her Level 7 team, winning gold in the vault and balance beam for her age division. Lacroix, competing in Level 8, qualified for the Region 2 Gymnastics Championships being held in Boise in the first week of April.

Level 3 gymnasts Riley Stephenson and Ashlyn Asay each placed third in the all-around competition for their respective age divisions. The Level 3 and Level 6 teams earned ninth place and the Level 7 team earned sixth place.

Altogether, the Mighty Tucks brought home two gold medals, seven silver medals and seven bronze medals.

Level 8 Results: Alexandria Lacroix was third on Vault (9.075), fourth on Bars (8.775), third on Beam (9.125), second on Floor (9.350), and fourth in the All Around (36.325); Ashlyn Johnson was 10th on Vault (8.275), 12th on Bars (8.825), 11th on Beam (8.050), 12th on Floor (8.775), and 14th in the All Around (33.925).

Level 7 Results: Tasha Miller was first on Vault (9.575), fifth on Bars (9.225), first on Beam (9.150), fourth on Floor (9.250), and second in the All Around (37.150); Lindsey Brinkerhoff was fifth on Vault (9.325), ninth on Bars (8.475), second on Beam (9.125), sixth on Floor (9.250), and fourth in the All Around (36.175); Magali Barrientos was 12th on Vault (8.950), seventh on Bars (8.725), seventh on Beam (9.000), 10th on Floor (9.000), and 10th in the All Around (35.675).

Level 6 Results: Jenna Boyle was ninth on Vault (8.825), 10th on Bars (8.300), fifth on Beam (9.300), fourth on Floor (9.350), 10th in the All Around (35.775); Natalee Anderson was 10th on Vault (8.775), ninth on Bars (8.325), ninth on Beam (9.000), seventh on Floor (9.000), 11th in the All Around (35.100); Madison Lempka was eighth on Vault (8.875), ninth on Bars (8.000), eighth on Beam (8.900), eighth on Floor (8.950), and…
