As Buffalo Bills fans prepare for the upcoming season, they will now have a reliable, safe, and affordable transportation option for attending games with the arrival of Uber, the Official Rideshare Partner of the Buffalo Bills. New Era Field’s Uber Zone will be open for fans all season, beginning with the Bills preseason opener against the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night. The Uber Zone, indicated through both a special in-app feature and customized Uber signs on location, is located just outside the stadium on the southeast corner of Abbott Road and Big Tree Road (Route 20A). The dedicated lot will help ensure that fans are able to easily connect with their driver and begin their ride home as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Fans using Uber are instructed to open the app while leaving the stadium and request their desired vehicle option (uberX or uberXL). Fans should then head to the Uber Zone, by crossing Big Tree Road (Route 20A) at the Abbott Road intersection. Drivers will call or text riders upon entering the Uber Zone to inform fans which row their vehicle is located in.
“As the 2017 football season begins, we look forward to offering Bills fans an easy and convenient way to get to and from New Era Field and cheer on their team,” said Uber Spokesperson Danielle Filson. “Buffalo Bills fans, we’ll see you in New Era Field’s Uber Zone!”
“We have teamed with Uber to celebrate the start of the season with a great deal for our fans,” said Erica Muhleman, Pegula Sports and Entertainment’s executive vice president of business development. “New Uber riders can get their first ride, up to $15, for free by using the code BUFFALOBILLS15 when they sign up to ride.”
The location of the Uber Zone at KeyBank Center will be announced at a later date. It will be active for all Buffalo Sabres home games, along with Buffalo Bandits games, and concerts and events at both KeyBank Center and HarborCenter.
Uber’s mission is to bring reliable transportation to everywhere, for everyone. We started in 2010 to solve a simple problem: how do you get a ride at the touch of a button? Six years and more than two billion trips later, we’ve started tackling an even greater challenge: reducing congestion and pollution in our cities by getting more people into fewer cars.
