Take a peek at Golden Road Brewing’s sprawling new facility, the crown jewel of Anaheim’s beer scene – Orange County Register

In a few short years, Anaheim has quickly established itself as Orange County’s craft-beer capital. Golden Road Brewing’s sprawling new facility, which has a soft opening Saturday, Nov. 18, is destined to be its most visible symbol.

But some craft-beer aficionados might take issue with its “craft” status.

Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait, a longtime fan of the frosty mug, has actively supported his city’s burgeoning craft beer scene, lowering regulatory barriers and making it easier for small breweries to get up and running. It didn’t take long for an even more ambitious newcomer to eclipse Towne Park. Golden Road Brewing, a popular Los Angeles label since its founding in 2011, has spent three years planning and building a temple of beer, food and recreation on Orangewood Avenue across from Angel Stadium. Many beer fans already know the spot. A 600-square-foot temporary tasting room has been open since February 2016.
