The highest – and lowest – paid teaching areas in England revealed – Mirror.co.uk

Camden’s teachers are the best paid in England with average pay at one school £15,000 higher than the national average.

Figures from the Department for Education ’s School Workforce survey for 2015 have revealed the average salaries of teachers in all areas of the country.

According to the data teachers in Camden earn an average of £44,758 across all school types compared to a national average of £34,600.

This was the highest figure for any local authority area in the country.

Within Camden teacher pay is highest at St Eugene de Mazenod Roman Catholic Primary School where the average annual salary stands at £49,965, more than £10,000 higher than the average for England.
